HOW TO IDENTIFY A HONEY BEE SWARM:
A bee swarm is a fascinating sight, although it may cause PANIC! However, the bee swarm is not looking to attack you. The bees are merely seeking a new place to make a home. In doing so, a honey bee swarm may rest in a hanging clump while scout bees go off to find a suitable place to make a permanent nest. Swarms may stay for a short while (e.g. 2 hours) to a few days. Keep your distance and you should not be bothered by the bees. Call us as this clumping behavior makes it possible for us beekeepers to gently collect and transport the bees.
We offer swarm removals that haven't invaded a structure for a flat rate of $50 if located within
10miles of Thibodaux, LA.
HOW TO IDENTIFY A HONEY BEE HIVE :
When a hive of bees has started to create wax comb to store honey, pollen, brood (baby bees), we call that a hive. Once this process has started, the bees have selected their home location. If you have honeybees living inside your home or other structure, there's still a chance to save the bees! Call us and we will see if we can help!
Hive removals are priced out by each case (time, location, difficulty, equipment used, etc.).
